Could either be a faulty SIM card, or SIM contacts on the phone, or SW conflicts, or battery contacts. you can try updating the phone software, but it sounds like you need to get the store to replace the phone for you, sounds like a lemon. Good luck And please comment back on your phones model, since you posted on the wrong product page ;] thx

Voice activation I have these Motorola Talkabout T5000 walkie talkies. One has a head set, one does not. I read in the manuel that if a headset is on, that walkie talkie switches to voice activation-- so the person without the headset can always hear what the person with the headset is saying, without them pushing the button. And the person with the headset will be able to hear the person without the headset, as long as that person is pushing the button. Basically, I need the one headset to always be sending the persons voice without them pushing the button-- and I need them to be able to hear me when I push the button on my side.

The Motorola T-5000R does not have VOX capabilties. Page 23 in the manual explains this. Here is the Link: http://www.giantintl.com/ContentManage/manuals/Moto/T55xx.pdf HiTech Wireless

One of the radios is not receiving, but always playing noise sound

Hi,It may be a Motorola, but it is mass produced in CHINA, and in there lies the problem...Nothing made in China has been successful to us english speaking peeoples.I've answered numerous queries regarding chinese made Toy radios, that fail to meet our standards of quality, but we pay a small price for these, therefore you only get what you pay for. Spend $150.00 or more and you get something half decent with backup, if something should go wrong, not so with these little monsters.Like many other Chinese made radios, they fail all too soon and not much can be done to remedy the failures. My advice is look on ebay, and be prepared to pay a little extra for a 2-way made anywhere else, but China.ebay prices for new equipment are usually cheaper than retail, so give it a whirl.Cheers,Peter
