Guide :Radio Communications : Explorer 340 Wireless Headset

I can't seem to get my new Bluetooth explorer 340 to even start charging. I have been told to plug charger into headset for 30 seconds, then take it out, and repeat the process 5 to 15 times. It still does not help. What else can I try?

I need the passcode for the plantronics

I am trying to pair a Discovery 925 to an ipod touch (2nd generation). It recognizes "9xxPlantronics Not Connected" I click on that bar (or line) and get the keyboard screen with the request to enter the password. I enter 0000 (4 Zeros). Hit the Connect key. It pauses, spins, and take me back to the previous page ""9xxPlantronics Not Connected" with "Now Discoverable" underneath. I can (and did) successfully pair to my Sprint Touch Pro 2 cell and then unpaired that and turned off its bluetooth to try again with the plantronics. (Without the unpairing and turning off, I couldn't get my ipod touch to see the Plantronics.... there was no discovery.) I do have the multi feature on. (I tried it with it off and with it on). I tried tapping on the "9xxPlantronics Not Connected" on the chance that it would join up without the password: no luck. I then clicked on Forget this device, and cleared it. I Turned the ipod and headset both off and then began the process again: turning on ipod, making it discoverable, turning on the headset so it's flashing... and with the same result. ??? Apple's webpage tells me that the ipod touch works w bluetooth headsets, so what am I doing wrong? (I followed their troubleshooting suggestions - basically turn everything off and repeat all of the above . Oh, they also say I should ck if I have the latest firmware on the 925. Is there some sort of update that is possible to do? Are there different versions of this headset?

I might be wrong, but I think the iPod Touch, not being a phone, doesn't have either HSP (HeadSet Profile) or HFP (Hands Free Profile) bluetooth profiles, solely used for phone calls. Nevertheless, being an audio/video reproduction device, it must have A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) and AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile), from its 2nd-gen onwards. Your problem is that the Plantronics 925, being a monoaural bluetooth headset, bears HSP and HFP only. You were able to successfully pair it with your TP2 because it is a phone. You must purchase stereo bluetooth headsets, in order to pair them with your iPod Touch. Just my 2 cents... Carlos

Plantronics Explorer 220 no longer connects to Blackberry Curve

You can have the two devices connected, but still get your sound through the phone. During a call (maybe call your voicemail or an automated number, just to make a call) try holding down the answer/end button on the earpiece until it beeps, and see if the sound switches from the phone to the earpiece. You can also try pressing the speakerphone button on your phone during a call to switch the call to the earpiece. Did either of those ideas work?

After pairing with my mobile (Nokia N73) I am able the listen to music only for 10 sec

Try pairing your device to another mobile and try listening music with it.If it works, either the settings on you Nokia N73 need to be changed, either is not fully compatible with the phone. As a last resort you can reset to default the settings on your mobile.Upgrading the firmware I do not recommand doing it, even from an official site, cause it can turn be very unstable.
