Need to disassemble

My T6220 was submerged in water. I waited approx 2 weeks for it to dry out. It will not power up and suspect it is a lost cause however I would like to disassemble to see if I can "clean it up". Removed battery cover and two screws but cannot get upper portion to release. Any ideas? Thanks

Need to disassemble

Open the battery cover, unscrew the two screws towards the bottom. about mid-way up, there is a slot on either side of the radio under where the battery cover would have covered.. there are two tabs that need to be pressed outwards to release the middle. using a small screwdriver (or a blade) gently lift up the plastic display cover- it is only about the thickness of a dime so just barely get an edge and pry upwards.. this will reveal another two screws, unscrew those and you should be all set!

We are an event management company... Please tell me the price of Motorola Talkabout T6500 (7 Channels) 2-Way Radio, and how can i buy it. need 10 sets (5 pairs). does it needs any license??

The TalkAbout radios are license-free and operate on FRS/GMRS frequencies intended for family use. It is possible using them in a business situation may be outside of the license-free perimeters. You would need to check further on this through a licensing company or the FCC (www.fcc.gov) Here's a link to the user guide for the T6500. http://www.giantintl.com/ContentManage/manuals/Moto/T65xx.pdf Here's a link to the Motorola TalkAbout Store: http://www.store.motorola.com/2-Way-Radios-Mobile-Devices-Products/b/2265993011?ie=UTF8&title=2%20Way%20Radios The T6500 is not a current model, but the models shown would talk with it, and work similarly. Here's a link to another vendor we have had success with http://www.wirelesspro.com/ They show the T6500 on their website for sale. Best regards.

Model: Motorola Talkabout 2-way radios

Typically you should be able to communicate by pressing the Push-to-Talk button (PTT). If it is necessary for you to press the musical note, you are using the Call Tone feature, which makes the other unit have a sound. This method is acceptable, but not necessary unless you want sound. Here is a copy of the user guide: http://www.giantintl.com/RadioPDFs/Outdated%20Manuals/T56XX_57XX_User_Manual_E.pdf Read the section on Call Tones and decide if this is the method you prefer. Otherwise, shut off the call tones and then you can simply use the PTT button to communicate. You are correct, the radios must be set to the same Frequency. Plus, they must be on the same Code (interference eliminator code) and the Qt filter must be set the same on both units. Following setting everything to match one another your radios are ready to communicate. Best regards.
