VOX Transmit is "pulsing". Also, no wx channel reception

I bouhgt a pair of these a few years back. I'm only now trying to use the VOX feature. One of the units seems to be mis-behaving. The first thing I noticed was that when in VOX mode, the transmit won't stay on even though I'm speaking in a long continuous sentences and I've tried all three sensitivity levels. The "tx pulsing rate" is very regular and seems in no way related to my speach. Also the wx channel reception is zero even though the other radio works well in both regards. Can these things be repaired?

Motorola Talkabout T5300 has squelch noise on all the time, what is wrong and how to fix?

It is likely your radio is not being completely powered by the batteries. The corrosion may have caused some damage to the battery contacts or other internal components. Try cleaning the battery contacts really well with a pencil eraser (no scraping or chemicals). Then try with a fresh set of batteries. If this does not solve the problem, it is probably non-reversible.Best regards.

Issue using headset with motorola talkabout md200

You may have one of the following issues:1) Defective headset or non-compatible headset. Try the headset on the other radio to see if you experience the same problem.2) Headset is not plugged in all the way, until you feel a click.3) Your radio's jack is wobbled out, or defective. Try moving the plug in or out slightly in the jack to see if you can find a sweet spot. Jacks can be worn due to plugging and unplugging chargers or audio devices repeatedly.Tips:1) Just as you have been doing, make certain the radios are turned off before plugging in any audio device.2) Once you plug in the device and turn on the radio, press the PTT button once to initialize the PTT capability.3) If you continue to have difficulties, reprogram the radios back to a basic operation, shutting off any special features such as call tones, Qt filtering, interference eliminators, weather radio capabilities, etc. Sometimes going back to this basic mode will alleviate the problem. Then one by one you can add back in the features you desire.Hope some of this helps. Best regards.

Talkabout MH230R does not Receive or Transmit on channel, can just Transmit (only clicks when Recieve) when programmed 2 channels higher (i.e. all radios on 5-3, one is on 7-3)

Strange. Could it be any of the radios are from different countries? The channels are not worldwide. For instance, Canadian radios are on different frequencies than USA radios. They look identical.

Talkabout T5800 (22 Channels) 2-Way Radio: droped in water will not transmit but will receved...

Depending on the type of microphone used, if not the type using the speaker as a microphone, it may be damaged. I would though, suggest you remove the battery, open the case and allow the innards to dry in a warm place for several days. Even daily exposure to the sun should work fine.

Hi I have the T5622 talkabout with a PTT headset. I can transmit OK but I am not receiving anything other than a ''click'' when the other person transmits. I have tested the headset and I am able to recive audio through the connection OK so it would seem the radio my headset is connected to is simply not sending the audio it is receiving from the transmition to my headset. Has anyone else had any issues like this at all. There is no support on the Motorola website for Talkabout radio's at all. Help!! : (

Here a few thoughts which come to mind. 1. You do not mention whether the radios communicate with the headset no on the radio. I will at this point, assume they do. 2. Be certain to have the radio SHUT OFF when plugging in the audio device. 3. Check your VOX settings. It could be your radio is going into VOX mode. 4. Only use the PTT button on the headset. Do not press the PTT on the radio at any time while using the headset. 5. Check that you have CALL TONES shut off. 6. Lastly, if nothing else works, go back to a basic mode, and set both radios where there are no special features turned on. ie turn off CODE, Qt Filter, VOX, Call Tones, etc. Here is a link to the manual: http://www.giantintl.com/RadioPDFs/Outdated%20Manuals/T56XX_57XX_User_Manual_E.pdf Best regards.

Motorola Talkabout T6500 will not transmit.

Are you sure the batteries are ok?, try to change the batery, check the radio battery contacts, verify if when you press the ptt, appear an icon on the display that correspond to TX function. Try to use an audio accesory to TX, if all this fail, you should replace it. Good luck
