Cant Speak On Logitech Internet Chat Headset

Check the plugs on the computer. I have this same headset, and when I first gt it I had made the silliest mistake of not turning it on. A friend of mine had a similar problem, but with the sound. What had happened was, he was doing some cleaning up by deleting useless programs. He had seen a file, but htought it was useless, so deleted that. Later, the sound dn't work, and he had realized that program he deleted was the entire sound file. Maybe the same thing happened, and if it did, you may want to try to get a computer technologist to format your computer, which is basically just you load all of your files onto CDs, back-up hard-drives, or on another computer. Then, they will hack into the computer and make it so that it's almost as if it had just came out of the packaging, and it doesn't know your name or anything. After that, you re-load all the data back on.

Microphone does not pick up voice

I am sorry to say but I think that perhaps your Microphone is faulty? These headset leads are notorious for breaking. If you know how to use a meter, perhaps you could check the circuit, and "see" if there is a Microphone attached? Could you "Test" it on another PC? But if this isn't the case below are some helpful links.. I "Googled" this --->troubleshooting microphone problems xp? http://support.plato.com/kb/tip.asp?psid=26055 www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/speech_setup_microphone.mspx

Logitech headset, new vista operating system

Does anyone else have issues hearing their own voice through a headset with Vista?I recently upgraded both of my machines to Windows Vista Ultimate. Since I've done this, I can no longer hear my voice through my headset (with Softphone). The customers can hear me fine and I can hear them fine, but I cannot hear my own voice - sounds like I'm talking with my hands over my ears. Of course, this is very annoying to say the least. It always worked fine with Windows XP so it has to be a Vista issue?I have the same problem with different headsets so that's not it. I've tried all the settings within the Softphone and my PC itself and couldn't find anything that would fix it. I've tried Ring Central support and they walked me through several re-installations of the soft phone among many other things with no prevail. I just got off the phone with Microsoft and they told me that hearing my voice through my headphones is not a feature in Vista, LOL! C'mon, you're going to tell me that everyone in this world using a voIP phone and Vista will not hear their voices with a headset?!?! Geesh.....So I guess I'd like to know if anyone here is using a Softphone with Vista and a headset without problems? And if someone has any idea how to fix this, I'd LOVE to know!Frustrated :x

I purchased two Sennheiser PC145 headsets to use on Skype to chat with a family member currently in the USA, I am in Australia. I can hear clearly but my contact can not hear me at all. However, if I resort to two other headsets I have (Logitech) there is no problem at all, we both can hear each other clearly, with my contact using Sennheiser Headset, I have checked all sound settngs in my PC and they all seem fine, but my contact tells me RealTek keeps coming up as default. I suggested we go into Control Panel audio & speech, but realtek keeps coming up as default, I am a novice with Pc's so any advice will be taken on board. Many Thanks in anticipation

Check test call at skype, if it is good then your headset is ok other wise it is not working specially your mic is not working.
