HS850 charge doesn't last long

My HS850 bluetooth headset is not holding much of a charge. It lasts about 15 - 20 minutes and then shuts off. I really don't notice the beeps warning me that the charge is getting low. My phone says bluetooth weak connection. I was trying to find the battery, but I can't locate it. What kind of battery does this take? Do you think it is the battery or something else? How long does the battery last? It is about 2 years old.

HS850 microphone problem (other party can't hear)

It sounds like a short in the headset wiring. I understand you have checked the solder joints. However, the short may still be at any point(s) along the length of the cord. Sadly, shorts will eventually occur in all wires that are moved regularly. The solder joints is typically the first place that happens. Try using your headset on someone else's compatible phone.

Battery How long should a fully charged battery last? I"'ve had the headset for only a week and I basically have to charge it up when i get home each night because the battery literally goes dead by the end of the day. The headset is mostly in standby mode all day because I rarely talk on it during the day. Did my new headset have a weak battery when I purchased it?

A fully charged battery should last up to 4 hours if it's being used A LOT! But I lost mine and it was in standby mode for pretty close to 3 days and when I found it I was still able to use for quite awhile before charging it again.. So yes, it sounds like it had a weak battery..

Motorola HS850 Headset gone silent

I bought a new HS850 and guess what, I got this hearing problem on the very first day ...phew ! I did the pairing with my Motorola A1200 phone and it worked for once, even the sound was coming in the earpiece and then I put it to charge for the first time and once done, I again started it up and it got connected with the phone and after that there was no sound in the ear piece. I was going nuts....about what could be the problem. So i decided to delete the earlier paired profile from my phone and do the pairing again and guess what...It Worked....:) So you can try that out too....
