Echo problems I've been having problems with this headset, it worked fine until a few days ago. When i plug in my headset i can hear and talk, but i get a very load delayed echo that repeats several times. I have searched the plantronics website and have found nothing useful at all, and would appreciate some help. I have done the following 1 tried both mic in ports on the front and back of my pc 2 changed the volume 3 changed the voice playback/recording type 4 Made sure nothing was muted just in case =] 5 used the "test hardware" feature under the voice tab, when i use this I can get through the microphone test with everything working fine (at least it seems like it is) but when i get to the speaker test and say something it is repeated a second later Much louder and it keeps repeating.

Check that the MIC is muted in the volume control but not in the recording settings. This could just be feedback.

Headset has static

Perform a reset on the headset.  Hold down the mute button (the dial on the back of the headset needs to be pushed straight in), and at the same time hold down the call answer button until you see the green light on the headset blink a few times.  Release both the mute button and the call answer button.  See if it works now.  If it doesn't, try a re-subscription (should be available in the manual).

I hve a new Gigaware headset (maybe 4 mos. old). It all worked fine, and suddenly the microphone won't work. I plug it in but my voice doesn't enter through the headset mike, only through the computer mike. So I brought the headset into my Radio Shack across the street. The store manager tested it and also used my laptop to set it as the defaul. His test showed bars popping properly through the headset mike, but we had no way to test it online or to record. I brought the headset back home and found that I can record and play back on the headset, using a recording application on my laptop. BUT NOW I don't get sound through the headset when I use an online phone service (whether WebEx, Skype, GoToMeeting, etc.), only on the laptop itself.

Hi, i can help. You don't need a new pair of headphones. Your SKYPE settings are off somewhere. If it was your headphones you would hear nothing ever and this is not the case. When you use headphones you have to switch the receive and output separately to headphones or you will not get this through your headphone. Make sure your jacks are plugged in nice and tight to. When in Skype you need to right click on the little speaker and select the playback device you want to use. Make sure when you set the settings for playback ion your computer itself you select headphones. If you have any comments please feel free to leave them here and I will respond to you. Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa. Regards, Tony

My girlfriend has a Logitech ClearChat Style headset. I recently gave her a Dell E6500 with onboard IDT High Def. Drivers and Windows Vista Business 64. The microphone rarely works (or properly discovered) and when it does it's choppy. It almost ALWAYS fails when Skype is loaded after it's been working fine using Steam voice and Vent. It works fine on her old XP-based 32-bit system. I've tried updated audio device drivers from the Dell website (9/29/2008 release), unplugging/replugging. Restarting the computer with the device plugged in (and unplugged another time). I can get it to work occasionally, but having to go into Crossloop every time I want to voice chat with her is getting redonkulous. Any help here would be phenomical (yes... that's a made up word).

Jabra GN9350e - my voice echo's back to me but the user hears me fine, is there any way to change the feed back?

Here's what fixed it for me (running Windows 8.1 on a Surface Pro 3): 1. On your taskbar, right click on your volume control options (the little speaker icon), and choose "Recording Devices." ALTERNATIVE: You can also get there from Control Panel, searching for "sound" and selecting "change sound card settings," then go to the "recording" tab. 3. Right click on the GN9350 and select "Properties." 4. Go to the "Listen" tab. 5. Unclick the "Listen to this device" checkbox. 6. Save and exit.

Have the Microsoft Lifechat Lx 3000 headset, and I use Avaya IP Agent via VPN to work, and Windows 7 OS. I had a Logitech headset before and had same issue, so I don't think it's the headset. While trying to work, I loose audio, the callers can hear me but I am not able to hear them. I've tried to troubleshoot this with our Tech Support, and they tell me that Avaya is working fine. What puzzles me is it's so random, I get a couple calls that I can hear, and then the next call, no audio. If I push the dial pad on the Avaya, I may get the call back, if the dial pad responds. (doesn't always) The last couple of days, the beginning of the calls have also changed, before I would get a single tone that a call was there, and now it is broken up, and seems delayed, when I get it at all. This issue has been ongoing for several weeks, and now my job is in jeopardy and I need help!!!

I had the same type of problems using Avaya (road warrior set up - voip) through a vpn. I work at home on remote set up. I have tried changing headsets, using the telecommuter option in Avaya and going through my regular phone line and still had the same problem. The company that I work for, suggested changing the order in which I log in to see if this solved the problem. I use to log into the computer first, and then double click on the vpn and enter my password and user name to start my work. They changed it to logging into the VPN at start up first and then continue to access my pc with the log in and password required for that purpose. The sound quality is better using this method but it didn't stop the various sound issues that you spoke of in your question posted on fixya. It did reduce the number of problems experienced. what I found that solved the issue for me was changing from the wired heatset on road warrior set up in Avaya to using my bluetooth headset from my cell phone instead. My computer was not bluetooth enabled, so I went to Best Buy and bought an adapter by I/O Gear that works by plugging it in to your usb port on your pc. The adapter cost me less than $20.00. You install the software on your pc first, then put the adapter in your usb port and turn your bluetooth headset in to pairing mode. The computer picked up the signal quickly with my Plantronics Voyager Pro bluetooth headset. The sound quality is great. I am wireles and hands free for 300 to 550 feet and I have 9 hours of talk time after a single charge. This is a new set up for me. I have used it for about three weeks now and have not experienced any problems with hearing so far. Give it a try.
