Motorola H500 and a motorola v3x phone searches and finds headset but won't connect

1.Press and hold the Multifunction button in the middle of a boom headset while the headset is closed. The light will glow blue.2.Open the boom microphone and the blue light should remain on. If not, repeat step 1.3.On the cell phone, press Menu > Settings > Connection > Bluetooth > Handsfree > New Device4.Select H500 once a connection is detected.5.The passkey "0000" is now entered to confirm the connection has been made.6.The cell phone screen will now read "Bluetooth Connection".Tips:1.Provided you set the Bluetooth power to "On" after the initial connection has been made, the phone will automatically re-connect to the headset.2.To set the Bluetooth power on - Press Menu, Select Settings, then Connections, then Bluetooth link, scroll to Setup and select that. Scroll to Power and chose Change. Scroll to On and press Select. The screen should now read "Changed: Power On".3.Test Your Connection: Close the headset and watch for cell phone to say "Disconnected". Re-open the headset and the phone should be connected automatically and will now display "Bluetooth Connected".please give good rating if the solution works. Thanks for using FixYa.

I have an LG Keybo phone and am trying to pair it to a motorola bluetooth headset but it won't connect it. I noticed the version of the headset is 2.1 and the version for bluetooth on my phone is 1.2....do these need to have the same version? I try connecting the phone and it keeps searching but never finds the headset. I can't even enter in the pairing code cause it never asks for it.

You will need the same version of bluetooth and the headset. Version 2.1 is backwards compatible with version 1.2. That being said, your phone will need to have the higher version of bluetooth technology. So therefore your headset will not work with this phone.

I have a motorola bluetooth without the pairing code. Also I can not tell by looking at it what model it is ...it just says Motorola. it was my fathers and he can not find the book. Help I need it for work and can't make it work.

Bluetooth headsets have their pairing code hardcoded by their manufacturers. Most of them, choose '0000' (four zeros). Others choose '1234', whilst some of them use '8888'. A bluetooth headset must be put in pairing mode, prior to its first connection to a bluetooth enabled device (e.g. phone, PC). All of them must be turned off before starting the pairing procedure. Some motorola headsets have a boom, which must be opened, in order for it to enter the pairing mode, whilst other headstets must have their Multi Function Button (MFB, or Call/End button) pressed and held for some 6 to 10 seconds. Their LED light use to indicate their pairing mode. Some of them flash rapidly (sometimes in more than one color), whilst others keep it solidly lit. Anyway, once your headset is in pairing mode, make your phone (or PC)'s bluetooth application search for new devices. After a while, your headset should appear on the device' screen. Select it and make the application connect. If a passkey (or PIN, or pairing code) is requested one of the codes I've suggested above. The pairing procedure, between any two bluetooth enabled devices, should be done only once. All subsequent connections should be achieved by bring both devices, with their bluetooth radio turned on, close enough to each other. If their link is not automatically established, a simple press on the headset's MFB should be enough. Hope you are able to pair your headset soon. Regards, Carlos
