Battery replacement? I have the Midland G-227 walkie talkie set. We have had them off for the past 3 or 4 months. We had just purchased new batteries and a new charger for them as the same problem had occured previously. The problem being, we charged the batteries as directed in the owners manual. After being stored for a while we put them on the charger for about 24 hours and we are unable to turn them on. Both lights come on on the charger but niether one of them will turn on. What are we doing wrong?????? Please let me know as this has been quite an investment for us to use only a few times. When they worked they worked very well. I would love to beable to have them work again. Thanks so much for your time and hope to have a solution soon. Respectfuly, Kris

Kris, are you sure that the radio es working properly with other batteries, I mean if you use with 4 AAA batteries does the radio turn on? If the radio turn on, is your battery lasting as ussual? check if the battery contacts are ok, may be one of them could be damaged or rusted. I hope this can help Neto

Display screen I got this new phone and when i turned it on for the first time it worked fine (minus the sim card). I put it on the charger. WHen I put my sim card in and turned my phone on (about 3 hours later)the graphics on the screen were messed up. It looks like a TV screen with EXTREMELY bad reception. I can't read anything on the screen. I have tried 3 different sim cards, a new battery, and i tried my sim card in my sister's phone which is exactly like mine and my card works in hers, but her battery or any other sim card doesn't work in mine. I have concluded that its the phone not the battery or sim card (duh). I have only touched this phone twice. What could cause this and how can I get it fixed??

Looks like a LCD display problem. Send it back to where you purchased it to avail of the warranty replacement.

I have 2 Motorola gp300 radios. My batteries are new and have been working fine as well as my chargers. one of my radios will not turn on. I've switched batteries as well as radios and the only thing not working is the one radio?

If the radio will not power up with a known good battery the radio is in need of repair. Best regards.

A relative has just given me a set of PR 3850WX radios with charger and manual. Only one of the units works. The other is completely dead when turned on. I have charged both and both sets of batteries will run the unit that works but not the radio that doesn't work. I suspect they are out of warranty but, no matter, since I have no warranty documentation. Can the unit that doesn't work be repaired or would it need to be replaced and would it be worth the cost compared to just buying a new outfit with similar features. Thanks. -Dan

I would get a quote , as most times it will cost more than a new unit.

We have 2 GN 9120 headsets that needed battery replacement. We ordered some from Amazon & never could get them to work. They actually worked for a half day and then stopped working all together (never being able to get them to re-pare). I called Jabra and they asked me to state the text on the bottom of the battery, turned out the batteries were over a decade old so they suggested I return them. We got new replacement batteries. I replaced them, got both headsets to pare/sync correctly however the battery light has been blinking for over 24 hours and now the headsets aren't even pared anymore, they haven't been used since the new batteries have been put in. The battery light just keeps blinking. When I tried to re-pare them nothing happens, again the battery light just keeps on blinking. I don't understand how perfectly working headsets are now not working after replacing the battery,. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Blow gently on both the pins that sit up from the base and the hole the pins go into, if you have a soft brush, use that gently to clean. check the pins are not bent or broken.

My new Cellular headset HFBLU-1K won't work or recharge

The problem seems to be the charging box. if the red light goes off relatively quickly after you place the bluetooth in the box then it is not gaining a charge. you have a warranty with this item that you can claim by following the instructions on the warranty card provided in the package.

Will not turn on. Other 1 works fine. New batteries. Radio like new, little use.

Ted, I have pondered your dilemma. When you say the radio is "dead as a door nail", are you saying it will not power on at all? If so, the problem has to be with the battery or battery connection. This radio is not a repairable radio, and there would be nothing about the circuitry inside which would be user repairable. I do think your solution might be much easier. If you are using a rechargeable model T5725, you can try a simple test to check the charge capability of the radio. Plug in the charger to the charge port and turn the radio on. If the radio does NOT power up, then you have a battery contact problem. If the radio does power up when using the charger, but not without it, then you have a battery problem. IMPORTANT NOTE: DO NOT transmit or push the PTT while the unit is plugged into the charger. This can cause serious damage. We are only recommending this as a test of the power system. Other thoughts concerning power would be check your battery to see it is in the correct direction. Check the contacts to see if they are clean. If not, use a pencil eraser to clean them. If this does not help, post again with more information.
