Guide :Radio Communications : BC246T Handheld Scanner

Trunking I have a bc246t that is setup to recieve motorola type II system and all IDs are setup properely according to radio reference.com. The fleet map is all 0's as it should be for a type II system, but the scanner does not stop on and active ID. It displays it, but does not stop scanning and un-mute so i can hear a voice. Conventionally programmed it works perfectly. If I turn the squelch down so i hear static on an active ID i can hear a muffled voice through the static. What have I done wrong, the scanner is brand new

On scan mode press (man) for manual then pgm then trunk. screen should read not trunked press mode. if it does say that then press scan, and it should work. but if it doesn't say not trunked then press mode until it does say not trunked, then press scan. should work.

I have life chat lx-3000 headset that was working fine. I use these on gamer vent server. Recently other players were unable to hear and mentioned they heard static then not me. I recently updated my sound driver and life chat driver. Now I am hearing static then everyone stops hearing me. All of a sudden when I move my head set wire i hear static. I get the same thing on all usb ports on computer. Do i need new headset or can i fix something in settings

My guess it's something in the cabling of this device I think it is cheaper to buy a new headset with the same quality. I think that that best solves your problem.

I can hear static...the static will stop when someone talks on the radio so that I can hear them. When I go to respond I hear this constant tone...However, they can hear me.

Sounds screwed, maybe feedback " the tone". I'd take it back if its FRS.

People can hear background noises on my PC but not my voice

Hi,Perform some simple steps as follows.1. Double click on the volume control icon in the system tray, that is on the right hand bottom side of the screen. Check if the microphone is muted.2. Right click on the same icon, and select "adjust audio properties." You will now get a window that says Sounds and Audio Devices Properties. Click on the tab named voice on top of that window, and check what is selected as the voice recording device. Check in the drop down menu to change the device and use the "test hardware" option to test the mic.3. Make sure your microphone is working fine. Other people are not hearing your music from your microphone, but from your system itself.Get back if you have additional questions.
